How I build with AI
From a question to something I can test
I build with Codex and Claude. They’ve changed how quickly I can try an idea and how far I can take it myself.
Back at the desk
My formal education was in software development, and then I stepped away from it for about ten years. After ChatGPT launched, I sat back down at the desk in early 2023, and I’ve been going pretty much nonstop since.
Most of my work has been done inside larger projects. I use my coding harness to do research, run reports, generate images, and build a lot of internal prototypes that get handed off to our team’s developers.
Psybrary, which I envisioned and built
I saw a need for access to harm-reduction information about psychedelics, where mainstream search falls short. So I envisioned and built Psybrary: a curated library of psychedelic research at Psychedelics.com that answers questions with sources.
Building it meant working out the architecture, the retrieval, the sources, and the experience.
What I care about most in it: answers that stay tied to their sources, and a clear path to a person when a question needs one.
This site
I built this site with Codex and Claude: the research, the design directions I tested, and the code.
